Job summary

Rinker Materials in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Production Worker to join our manufacturing team. You will mix and pour concrete, transfer loads, operate cranes and hoists, inspect equipment, and maintain accurate logs. The role requires comfort working outdoors and in a fast-paced production setting.

The ideal candidate has experience with cranes, hand tools, and heavy lifting. Prior forklift experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Able to read and understand work orders and complex instructions.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
• Working experience handling different types of cranes.
• Previous experience as a crane operator or a similar role.
• Ability to work outdoors or in open air environment.
• Preferred – Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred – Experience operating a forklift, especially an industrial forklift.
• Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds frequently. Over 50 pounds, a forklift or crane will be used.

Responsibilities

• Mixing and pouring concrete.
• Transfer loads to construction sites and discharge safely.
• Operate cranes and hoists.
• Inspect equipment and machinery.
• Coordinate with ground operators and interpret hand and verbal signals.
• Operating machinery and equipment, such as concrete mixers and conveyors.
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas.
• Assisting with the transportation and placement of concrete forms and molds.
• Loading and unloading materials and supplies.
• Keep and update maintenance and activity log.
• Sets up forms in the manufacturing production process of concrete products.
• Handling and moving heavy construction materials.
• Following safety protocols and wearing appropriate protective gear
• Adhering to quality control standards to ensure the production of high-quality concrete products.
• Any other miscellaneous tasks assigned by management at any given time and in any given area
