Job summary

Rinker Materials in Des Moines, IA invites applications for a Production Worker at our Des Moines plant. You will perform general labor to mix and pour concrete, operate concrete mixers and conveyors, and prepare forms for manufacturing concrete products.

The role supports safety and quality standards and requires lifting, climbing, and outdoor work as needed. Ideal candidates have experience in manufacturing, familiarity with hand and power tools, and forklift operation.

Qualifications

• Able to read and understand work orders and complex instructions.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to work outdoors or in open air environment.
• Preferred - Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred - Experience operating a forklift, especially an industrial forklift.
• Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds frequently; over 50 pounds with forklift/crane; push/pull 80 pounds; climb stairs and ladders; step up 20 inches.

Responsibilities

• Mixing and pouring concrete.
• Operating machinery and equipment, such as concrete mixers and conveyors.
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas.
• Assisting with the transportation and placement of concrete forms and molds.
• Loading and unloading materials and supplies.
• Sets up forms in the manufacturing production process of concrete products.
• Handling and moving heavy construction materials.
• Following safety protocols and wearing appropriate protective gear.
• Adhering to quality control standards to ensure the production of high-quality concrete products.
• Any other miscellaneous tasks assigned by management at any given time and in any given area

We are looking for a PRODUCTION WORKER to join our DES MOINES, IA plant. As a general laborer with Rinker Materials, you will contribute to one of the nation's largest manufacturers of reinforced concrete pipe, box, bridge, and other related infrastructure products for stormwater and sanitary applications.
