Job summary

Archer Western, a Walsh Group company, is seeking a Concrete Paving Operator for the GDOT SR 316 Bundle 2 project in Athens, GA. The role centers on operating a concrete paver at the site to build, maintain or repair roadways and heavy civil structures.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of paving experience, can lift up to 50 lbs, and is capable of working in varying weather conditions while adhering to safety policies. Training and advancement opportunities are highlighted.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a paving machine (paver) and related equipment on large civil/roadway projects.
• Ability to follow loading/unloading procedures and operate within safety protocols.
• Willingness to perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
• Ability to communicate clearly with crew to ensure work is completed properly.

Responsibilities

• Operates a Paver to lay concrete and perform paving tasks.
• Follows procedures for loading and unloading materials.
• May oil, grease, service, and adjust equipment; conducts safety and maintenance checks; completes paperwork.
• Performs other related duties as required.
