The University of Texas at Austin's Cockrell School of Engineering seeks an Engineering Scientist Associate to manage the concrete laboratory, ensure accreditation, and support lab and field research. You will train students, develop certification programs, maintain equipment, and assist with research activities within the Laboratory for Infrastructure Materials Engineering.

This 40-hour week position on the Pickle Research Campus requires experience in concrete testing and lab management, with

• 10+ years managing concrete material laboratory operations.
• 10+ years in concrete material testing (routine and non-routine).
• 5+ years in concrete construction inspection and project management.
• 5+ years developing, conducting, and managing training and testing certification programs.
• 5+ years with concrete laboratory accreditation programs.
• Current ACI Strength and Field Grade I certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and calibrate laboratory mixing and testing equipment.
• Maintain equipment calibration records and maintenance logs.
• Establish and maintain testing certification program for concrete methods.
• Maintain equipment inventory and order supplies.
• Perform laboratory accreditation duties.
• Assist with research activities and support students in concrete materials testing.
• Develop, conduct, and manage training programs for concrete material testing and certification.
• Train students.
