Job summary

Kokosing is seeking a Heavy Highway Laborer in Ohio to support crews on a variety of traffic, paving, and utilities projects. You will load and haul materials, help place forms, and assist foremen with routine tasks in a safety‑conscious environment.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in heavy highway labor, a high school diploma or equivalent, and current OSHA 10/OSHA 30 certification. Kokosing provides training and travel expense support where needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable personal transportation.
• Willing to work on projects up to 3.5 hours from home; travel expenses provided for ~1.5+ hours.

Responsibilities

• Load, transport, unload, and furnish crew with materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary.
• Grade checking.
• Help place and rake concrete.
• Set and remove pavement, barrier, curb, and sidewalk forms.
• Perform other routine duties as directed by Foreman.
• Safely handle electric and gas-powered hand tools, such as circular saws, drills, and cut-off saws.
• Use tape measure, folding rule, and 4ft level.
