Job summary

Commercial Metals in Ashland, Virginia is looking for a production support team member to assist in the production of precast concrete products. This role involves physical work, including setup of molds, pouring concrete, and maintaining a clean work area while following safety procedures.

What You'll Do

• Support production of precast concrete products from setup through shipment
• Set up and prepare molds/forms (clean, assemble, apply release agents)
• Place reinforcing materials (rebar, wire mesh, embeds) per specifications
• Assist with pouring, leveling, and finishing concrete
• Support curing process and strip finished products from molds
• Perform basic finishing (patching, smoothing, marking/stenciling)
• Cut and tie wire/rebar as needed for reinforcement
• Move and stage materials and finished products for curing or shipment
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE

• Ability to perform physical work (lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, bending, and kneeling) for extended periods
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Availability for overtime, including weekends as needed
• Ability to work well on a team to meet production goals
• Basic math and reading skills (measurements, simple drawings)

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Manufacturing, construction, or concrete experience preferred

Your Education
