Job summary

CMC, a Fortune 500 company, seeks a motivated production associate to support concrete pipe manufacturing from setup through shipment. You will set up molds, place reinforcing materials, pour concrete, assist curing, and perform finishing while moving materials and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

This role requires physical work, teamwork, basic math and reading, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in manufacturing or concrete-related work preferred.
  • Ability to perform physical work and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Support production of concrete pipe from setup through shipment
  • Set up and prepare pipe molds (clean, assemble, apply release agents)
  • Place reinforcing materials (steel cages, wire) per specifications
  • Assist with concrete pouring using mixers, buckets, or automated equipment
  • Support curing process and strip finished pipe from molds
  • Perform basic finishing (patching, smoothing, sealing joints)
  • Operate or assist with vibration/compaction equipment
  • Move and stage materials and finished products for curing or shipment
  • Keep work area clean and organized

What You’ll Do
  • Support production of concrete pipe from setup through shipment
  • Set up and prepare pipe molds (clean, assemble, apply release agents)

  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
What You’ll Need
  • Ability to perform physical work (lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, bending, and kneeling) for extended periods
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Availability for overtime, including weekends as needed
  • Ability to work well on a team to meet production goals
  • Basic math and reading skills (measurements, simple drawings)
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Manufacturing, construction, or concrete experience preferred

  • High School Diploma or GED required
