Job summary

William A. Hazel, Inc. is seeking a Concrete Laborer for our Concrete Crew in the Northern Virginia area. The role reports to a foreman or superintendent, and applicants may be required to commute to job sites across the area.

Typical duties include loading/unloading form trucks, driving steel pins, shoveling concrete, operating a Jumping Jack, moving heavy forms, and using levels and rulers to ensure proper measurements. Outdoor weather exposure is expected.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education required; entry level experience.
• Ability to follow simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload form truck.
• Drive steel pins with 8 lb. sledgehammer.
• Shovel concrete, dirt, and stone.
• Run “Jumping Jack” to compact grade.
• Move steel forms 50-100 lbs. with help.
• Use level and ruler to verify measurements.
