Job summary

Oldcastle APG in White Marsh, MD is seeking a motivated individual for an R&D and quality control role in the Concrete and Mortar Laboratory. The position involves analyzing material properties, material costs, and performing hands-on tasks such as lifting and mixing concrete bags.

You will report to the Regional Quality Manager and collaborate across teams to meet product specifications. Responsibilities include conducting measurements, generating reports with tables and graphs, and maintaining

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a laboratory setting or concrete/masonry field work.
• Experience in concrete/mortar testing and ASTM standards is a plus; training provided.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• This position may require standing for long periods and lifting up to 85 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in comparing formula variations and taking measurements to meet product specs.
• Support plant managers with measurements, conclusions, and corrective actions for forensic investigations regarding SONA products.
• Perform routine laboratory measurements on raw materials, concrete, and mortar samples.
• Create summary reports with tables and graphs describing test results.
• Maintain the instruments used by the Concrete and Mortar Laboratories.
• Maintain warehouse operations.
• Mix, pour and lift bags and buckets of concrete as needed.
