Job summary

Grayson Carter & Son Contracting, Inc. is seeking a Concrete Full Time Crew in Athens, AL to perform essential construction tasks on site. Responsibilities include loading and unloading materials, operating hand/power tools, site preparation, trenching, and equipment operation, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The team will work under supervisors to follow construction plans, uphold PPE rules, and ensure timely completion of projects, with weekends and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Some experience as a finish operator.
• Must be able to stand, walk, crouch, kneel, climb, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and wear PPE on sites.
• Ability to obtain Arsenal and FBI badges.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and stack materials, equipment, and tools
• Use small and medium hand/power tools to complete various tasks
• Clean and prepare construction sites
• Dig trenches, compact earth, and backfill holes
• Operate heavy machinery used to complete construction projects
• Inspect finished products or components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
• Follow instructions from supervisors and implement construction plans
• Maintain a high level of quality work at all times
• Maintain good relationships with Technicians, Foreman, Superintendents, Inspectors, Developers, and other coworkers
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Represent and promote Grayson Carter and Son in a professional and honest manner
