Job summary

Skillit is seeking a per diem concrete formwork carpenter for projects in Norfolk, VA and surrounding areas. You will work under a foreman to build, install, strip, and repair concrete forms for footings, walls, columns, decks and slab-on-grade, with safety and training emphasized on active job sites.

Ideal candidates have solid carpentry/formwork experience, can read construction drawings, and are prepared to travel between local sites as needed. Per diem local travel is involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of carpentry/formwork experience.
• Ability to read technical drawings/blueprints.
• Physical stamina for heights and heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Build, erect, strip and repair wood and steel concrete forms.
• Install forms for footings, walls, columns, decks and slabs.
• Follow foreman directions for layout and bracing.
• Maintain safe, clean job sites and wear PPE.

About this rolePer diem concrete formwork carpenter needed for projects in Norfolk, VA and surrounding areas. Work under a foreman's supervision to build, install, strip, and repair structural concrete forms for footings, walls, columns, decks and slab-on-grade. This is hands-on field work on active job sites with an emphasis on safety and ongoing training.
