Job description

We are looking for a Finisher with Concrete Forming Experience to join our team. The role involves smoothing and finishing poured concrete surfaces such as floors, walks, sidewalks, roads, and curbs using a variety of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Finish and smooth poured concrete surfaces (floors, walks, sidewalks, roads, curbs).
• Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, or gutters.
• Patch voids and remove imperfections from concrete.
• Use saws to cut expansion joints at proper locations and depths.
• Apply finishing techniques such as broom finish, bull float, and edge running.
• Check rod for floor flatness and cut humps or fill holes as needed.
• Maintain quality while working long periods and ensuring finished surfaces meet specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience as a finisher with concrete forming.
• Physical stamina and stability to work long periods while maintaining quality.
• Proficient with hand and power tools: bull float, broom, saw.
• Ability to perform a broom finish with fine texture transverse to traffic flow and consistent straightness.
• Capability to run edges that are straight, clean, at proper elevation, and slick.
• Skill to saw cut accurately, reaching the edge of box cuts at the correct depth.
• Passed drug & alcohol test.
