Job description

LEMOINE is looking for a Foreman. A Foreman is an advanced level position with the purpose of assisting superintendents with administrative, supervisory, and skilled tasks in the maintenance and completion of a construction project.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Under limited supervision, must be able to handle all aspects related to personnel management on a construction project site.
2. Should inspect his work area on a daily basis for any unsafe acts and conditions, make decisions pertaining to production and provide leadership and direction in the development of short- and long-range plans.
3. Proficiency in reading blueprints, resolving conflicts, learning managerial skills, and acquiring cross-training.
4. Perform other duties assigned by the project superintendent or field engineer.

Required Qualifications:

1. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
2. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
3. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
4. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
5. Subject to repetitive use of hands/arms, and legs.
6. Hand/eye coordination and depth perception are important.
7. Must be able to drive cars, trucks, forklifts, and other equipment.
8. Hearing and comprehension are necessary for giving and receiving directions to perform work and/or safety policy.
9. May be performing tasks involving physical labor on construction projects.
10. May operate hand and power tools of all types.
11. Climb and maintain balance on equipment.
12. Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis.
13. Position may require prolonged sitting.
14. May assist other craft workers as needed.
