Job summary

Crossland Construction Company in Wichita, KS is seeking an experienced concrete foreman to lead and supervise crews, read drawings, coordinate pours, and ensure quality and safety. The position requires planning daily activities, mentoring crew members, and maintaining documentation while following OSHA guidelines.

You will coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials, monitor productivity, and communicate with project staff to keep schedules and budgets on track.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial concrete construction experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
• Understanding of construction sequencing, elevations, grades, and tolerances.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise concrete crew performing excavating, forming, reinforcing, placing, finishing, and related concrete work.
• Plan daily work activities and assign crew members based on project needs.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, elevations, and layout information.
• Coordinate concrete pours, manpower, equipment, materials, and deliveries.
• Verify forms, reinforcing steel, embeds, anchor bolts, and elevations prior to placement.
• Monitor productivity and ensure work is completed according to schedule.
• Maintain high standards for concrete quality and workmanship.
• Communicate effectively with project superintendents, project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other trades.
• Identify field issues and assist with developing practical solutions.
• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Conduct daily safety tool box talks and ensure proper PPE is used.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, manpower information, and production documentation as required.
• Operate construction equipment and tools when necessary.
• Train and mentor crew members and promote teamwork.

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50-75 pounds.
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work on uneven surfaces.
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods and perform physically demanding construction activities.
