Job summary

Crossland Construction Company Inc seeks an experienced Concrete Foreman to lead a field crew in Wichita, KS. You will oversee forming, placement, and finishing, ensuring quality workmanship and on-time project delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial concrete construction experience preferred.
• Previous concrete crew leadership or foreman experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of concrete forming, placement, finishing, reinforcement, and layout.
• Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
• Understanding of construction sequencing, elevations, grades, and tolerances.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise concrete crew performing excavating, forming, reinforcing, placing, finishing, and related concrete work.
• Plan daily work activities and assign crew members based on project needs.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, elevations, and layout information.
• Coordinate concrete pours, manpower, equipment, materials, and deliveries.
• Verify forms, reinforcing steel, embeds, anchor bolts, and elevations prior to placement.
• Monitor productivity and ensure work is completed according to schedule.
• Maintain high standards for concrete quality and workmanship.
• Communicate effectively with project superintendents, project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other trades.
• Identify field issues and assist with developing practical solutions.
• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Conduct daily safety tool box talks and ensure proper PPE is used.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, manpower information, and production documentation as required.
• Operate construction equipment and tools when necessary.
• Train and mentor crew members and promote teamwork.
