Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct all phases of on-site concrete construction through a team of workers and subcontractors.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily construction activities to ensure operational efficiency and project delivery within set timelines.
  • Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and detailed drawings to accurately lay out the project sites.
  • Ensure all concrete construction activities comply with company standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct routine inspections and audits of all construction tasks to manage quality of work and adherence to specifications.
  • Maintain transparent communication with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to report progress and discuss challenges.
  • Facilitate training and development sessions for staff to enhance their skills and understanding of operational requirements.
  • Administer the procurement, allocation, and use of materials, tools, and equipment necessary for completing projects.
  • Prepare and submit daily reports detailing labor, site activities, and resource utilization.
  • Resolve any technical or personnel issues that arise, maintaining a focus on safety and productivity.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent with a preference for additional certification or training in construction or a related field.
  • Extensive experience working as a Concrete Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and execute large commercial concrete projects from inception to completion.
  • Must possess and maintain up-to-date OSHA safety certifications relevant to concrete construction and site supervision.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of directing, motivating, and unifying large teams.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints is essential.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to manage multiple tasks and challenges effectively.
