Job summary

Air Comfort, Inc is seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher to perform layout, placement, and finishing of concrete on a variety of projects. The role requires working with a crew, following forms and grade layouts, and finishing surfaces to a high standard.

Responsibilities include site preparation, reinforcement handling, and mold/joint work, with pay based on experience and qualifications. This position is Full-time and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 5+ years of applicable construction experience.
• Bridge construction a plus.
• Ability to work as a member of a team.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, kneel, balance, stoop.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions and extreme temperatures.

Concrete Finisher - Pay based on experience

Reports to Crew Foreman Competitive Wage & Benefits

Objective

Apply skill and experience to perform a variety of construction activities relating to the layout, preparation, placement, and finishing of concrete. This position is expected to perform all aspects of concrete work with minimal direction from a crew foreman. Pay based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Layout, site preparation, placement, and finishing of concrete on a variety projects.
• Subgrade preparation
• Setting forms to required grade & layout
• Cutting/bending/tying reinforcement;
• Spread, level and smooth concrete using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float;
• Mold expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers and straightedge;
• Ability to use trade tools and miscellaneous hand tools

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 5+ years of applicable construction experience.
• Bridge construction a plus.
