Job summary

City of Omaha, NE is seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher (Job 3457) for a full-time role in the Maintenance division. The position involves construction, maintenance, and repair of street systems with leadership potential under supervision.

Qualifications include a valid CDL-A with N endorsement or equivalent, Second Grade Hoisting and Portable Engineer’s Certificate by probation end, and the ability to obtain forklift certification if needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in concrete finishing.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Skill in the use and maintenance of assigned tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and sketches.

Responsibilities

• Set forms and establish elevation; pour and finish concrete for sidewalks, driveways, streets, curbs, and parking areas.
• Break up and remove concrete.
• Clean and prepare surface areas.
• Estimates costs, orders supplies, and maintains inventory.
