Job summary

Ferrovial's Webber division in Texas is hiring for a concrete finisher who can finish exposed surfaces of paving and curbs with attention to quality and safety. You will operate finishing equipment, patch imperfections, and work with a team to deliver durable concrete elements on busy projects.

Qualifications

• Less than a High School Diploma.
• Outdoors exposed to changing weather conditions.
• Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers and perceives attributes of objects and materials.

Responsibilities

• Operates bridge deck finishing machine.
• Forms and finishes edges and joints.
• Finishes concrete curbs and gutters.
• Finishes exposed surface of concrete after forms have been removed by patching imperfections with fresh concrete, rubbing surface with abrasive stone, and directing others in removing excess or defective concrete with power tools.
• Whatever enhances the operations of the company.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
• Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
