Qualifications

• 2–3 years of concrete finishing experience.
• Experience on commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects.
• Ability to read blueprints, grades, and construction drawings.
• Knowledge of concrete placement, finishing, curing, and repair techniques.
• Ability to operate concrete finishing equipment and hand tools safely.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a crew.

Responsibilities

• Finish concrete by screeding, floating, edging, jointing, troweling, broom finishing, and applying specialty finishes.
• Place, spread, level, and smooth freshly poured concrete to required grade and finish.
• Set forms, check grades and elevations, and assist with concrete layout.
• Install and tie reinforcing steel (rebar), wire mesh, dowels, and embeds as required.
• Strip, clean, and maintain forms and finishing tools.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, vibratory screeds, power trowels, and other finishing equipment safely.
• Read and interpret blueprints, project specs and grade stakes.
• Assist with concrete placement, curing, and protection procedures.
