Job summary

McLain Site Solutions is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our civil site work team in Jacksonville, FL. This role involves safely operating excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, graders, skid steers, rollers, and dump trucks to perform site development, earthwork, grading, excavation, and utility installations.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of heavy civil construction experience, can read grade stakes and blueprints, and maintains a clean, safe, productive work site

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment operating experience in heavy civil construction.
• Experience operating excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, skid steers, rollers, and articulated dump trucks.
• Ability to read grade stakes, cut/fill sheets, blueprints, and construction plans.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, graders, skid steers, rollers, and off-road dump trucks as required.
• Perform excavation, earthmoving, grading, site preparation, and backfilling to project specs.
• Excavate for underground utilities and read site plans and grade stakes.
• Maintain daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Work safely around underground utilities and coordinate with survey crews.
