Job summary

Werner Construction, Inc. in Hastings, Nebraska seeks an entry-level Asphalt Plant Operator to support daily plant operations and ensure safe, efficient production. You will handle plant controls, coordinate trucking with the Superintendent, and help maintain documentation.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, legal authorization to work in the US, and strong communication. Prior plant experience is preferred, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record is essential.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position requiring a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily equipment inspection.
• Safely and efficiently operate the Asphalt plant controls.
• Monitor and adjust production levels based on the Superintendent's needs.
• Coordinate truck flow at the plant.
• Assist the tear down and set up of the plant when moving.
• Calibrate the plant as needed.
• Accurately complete plant documentation.
• Ensure the safe operation of the entire plant site.

This position is responsible for the daily operation of Asphalt Plant controls. Job functions include operation of the control panel, coordinating trucking operations at the plant with the Superintendent, manage the loader operation at the plant, and ensuring efficient, safe operation of the plant activities.
