Job summary

Decker Concrete, Inc. in Dyersville, IA is seeking a Concrete Finisher to place, finish, and repair concrete surfaces to meet project specifications.

The candidate will have hands-on finishing experience, work well independently and as part of a crew, and uphold high quality standards. Responsibilities include leveling and finishing floors, sidewalks, curbs, and walls; operating trowels, floats, screeds, and grinders; applying sealants and curing compounds; and reading project drawings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of experience as a concrete finisher or in a related trade.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Place, level, smooth, and finish surfaces of poured concrete (floors, sidewalks, curbs, walls, etc.).
• Operate hand tools and power finishing equipment such as trowels, floats, screeds, and grinders.
• Apply curing compounds, sealants, and surface treatments as required.
• Patch and repair finished concrete as necessary.
• Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with supervisors and crew members to ensure projects are completed on time and to quality standards.

Job Title: Concrete Finisher

Job Description: This role is responsible for placing, finishing, and repairing concrete surfaces to ensure a high-quality finished product that meets project specifications. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in concrete finishing techniques, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Essential Duties

• Place, level, smooth, and finish surfaces of poured concrete (floors, sidewalks, curbs, walls, etc.).

Education And Experience Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift over 50 pounds regularly.


• Prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, and walking on uneven surfaces.


• Use of protective equipment as required (safety boots, gloves, glasses, etc.).
