Job summary

Crowder Construction Co. is seeking a Concrete Finisher to place, finish, and cure concrete surfaces on diverse civil projects. You will set forms, spread and level concrete, and ensure a smooth finish while observing safety protocols.

Responsibilities include coordinating with crew, monitoring curing conditions, and using hand and power tools to achieve quality results. Experience with concrete finishing and formwork is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to respond quickly to supervisors directions due to the concrete setting up.
• Verify equipment and materials are used properly, and report unsafe conditions to management.

Responsibilities

• Move discharge chute of truck to direct concrete into forms, then spread, level, and smooth concrete using hand or power tools.
• Set forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch, grade, depth.
• Check forms that hold the concrete to ensure proper construction.
• Chip, scrape, and grind high spots and rough projections to finish concrete with chisels or grinders.
• Mold expansion joints and edges using edging tools and jointers.
• Monitor wind, heat, or cold effects on curing throughout the process.
• Utilize concrete vibrators to consolidate concrete.
• Be safety-minded and adhere to all safety policies.
• Complete all additional duties as required by supervisor.
