Job summary

G.R. Birdwell Construction is seeking Multicraft Personnel, including Carpenters, Rodbusters & Conrete Finishers, for industrial civil construction in Pasadena, Texas. A Concrete Finisher will place, finish, cure and cut concrete per project specs under supervision.

Responsibilities include establishing finish grade, executing pour sequences, repairing concrete, and using a wide range of finishing tools. The crew maintains equipment and adheres to FF/FL standards, with benefits and craft

Qualifications

• Experience with concrete placement, finishing, curing and cutting.
• Ability to establish finish grade during pours and ensure FF/FL terminology accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Participates in execution and completion of concrete finisher work.
• Establishes finish grade during slab pours.
• Performs concrete placement, finishing, curing, and cutting; patches and repairs as needed.
• Ensures floor finishes meet project requirements per FF/FL terminology.
• Maintains and operates finishing tools and equipment.
• Keeps equipment in good condition and up-to-date with proper maintenance.

Industrial Civil Construction Contractor specializing in structural concrete and sitework/earthwork looking for Multicraft Personnel - Carpenters, Rodbusters & Concrete Finishers.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Superintendent/Foreman a Concrete Finisher will carry out assignments related to concrete placement, finishing, curing and cutting based on the proper selection of equipment, materials and finishing sequence needed to deliver an acceptable end product.

Responsibilities and Duties

Participates in the execution and completion of Finisher work, including the following duties:

• Establishes finish grade during the pour of the slabs
• Performs the following concrete placement and finish:
  • placing, finishing curing, and cutting of concrete slabs
  • patching and repairing of concrete work
  • concrete restoration
  • concrete joint treatments
  • applications of floor toppings
• Ensures floor finishes meet project requirements consistent with FF/FL terminology
• Proficient in the use of the following tools and has the knowledge to use the equipment at the proper time of the place-finishing sequence:
  • Straight edges to establish grade
  • Bull Floats, mops and Highway Straight Edges
  • Float blades, combo blades, and finish blades
  • Hand tools for Floor finishing, edging, joint tooling
  • Single and double trowel machines
  • Curing equipment
  • Pump Equipment
  • Vibratory Equipment

• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all tools and equipment required
