Concrete Finisher

Kissimmee, FL or surrounding area

Jr. Davis Construction Company Inc. builds roads, bridges, and highways that connect our communities! We are seeking passionate individuals eager to apply their skills to advance their careers.

Responsibilities:

• Patching and repairing concrete work, concrete restoration, and joint treatments
• Applying floor toppings
• Ensuring floor finishes meet project requirements according to FF/FL terminology
• Proficient use of tools and equipment for the finishing process, including:

• straight edges, bull floats, mops, highway straight edges, float blades, combo blades, finish blades
• hand tools for finishing, edging, joint tooling
• single and double trowel machines, walk-behind trowels, double riders
• curing, pump, vibratory equipment

Requirements:

• 3 recent years’ experience as a Concrete Finisher
• Active driver’s license
• Ability to finish concrete efficiently, safely, and productively
• Experience finishing slabs and stairs
• Knowledge of rub and patch is a plus
• Understanding of common construction terms for equipment and materials
• Safety-first attitude and adherence to safety protocols
• Professional and courteous demeanor
• Willingness to travel and work away from home, including nights and weekends

Knowledge & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent, or two years’ relevant experience

Physical Requirements:

• Monitoring safety and PPE compliance
• Frequently lifting/moving objects up to 50 pounds; occasionally more
• Walking on uneven surfaces in varying weather conditions
• Exposure to noise and dust typical of construction sites
• Performing physical labor in adverse conditions
