Job summary

Gray Ohio Valley in Versailles, KY is seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our crew. This role focuses on forming, placing, and finishing concrete for foundations and walls, with routine use of trowels, drills, vibrators, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction drawings, safety manuals, and operating instructions.
• Must have basic math skills and the ability to solve practical problems in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Construct and set forms for concrete building foundations.
• Operate concrete trowels and power tools; handle circular saws, drills, vibrators, and chipping hammers.
• Wreck and reset concrete forms as needed.
• Place and finish concrete in walls and flatwork; set and align anchor bolts.
• Tie reinforcing steel (rebar) as required.
• Perform duties per industry and company standards; accept additional assignments.

Gray Ohio Valley, located in Versailles, KY is looking for an experienced Concrete Finisher.

Responsibilities

• Constructing and setting forms for concrete building foundations
• Operates miscellaneous equipment such as concrete trowels and power tools such as circular saws, drills, concrete vibrator and chipping hammers, etc..
• Wrecks concrete forms.
• Places and finishes concrete in walls and flatwork.
• Sets and aligns anchor bolts.
• Ties reinforcing steel (rebar).
• Preforms work in accordance with industry and company standards.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), minimum of six years related experience and/or training, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess the ability to read analyze, and interpret documents such as construction drawings, safety manuals, operating and maintenance instructions as well as procedure manuals. Must have basic mathematical skills, including ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or other forms.
