Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample fresh concrete, perform slump, air, temperature, and cylinder tests, and verify soil compaction with a nuclear gauge on outdoor construction sites.

Entry level positions available with paid training and sponsorship for ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge certifications as you progress. Pay ranges from $18 to $28 per hour, with overtime for longer production runs.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Comfortable outdoors in varied heat and weather conditions.
• Reliable, detail-first, and coachable.
• ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge certification a plus - we sponsor both.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31; Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938; Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations; Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody; Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
• You will sample and test fresh concrete, run slump, air, and temperature, and cast cylinders while documenting every result the same day.
