Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample fresh concrete, run slump, air, temperature, and cylinder sets, and document results the same day. You will verify density with a nuclear gauge and communicate findings to superintendents on site.

No experience required for entry level; we train and we pay for your certifications, including ACI Field Grade I and NICET levels as you progress. Growth opportunities exist across project sites.

Qualifications

• You must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Be comfortable working outdoors in hot coastal climates and varying conditions.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and coachable; we sponsor key certifications.
• Certifications such as ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
