Job description

Priority Personnel is hiring a Scructural Concrete Fabricator & Painterfor a company located in San Marcos, TX.

Pay rate: $17.00-22.00/hour

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday/7:00am-3:30pm with occasional OT

Job Duties:
  • Sculpting Duties:
    • Sculpt and shape GFRC over rebar and lath substructures to create artistic and detailed play sculptures.
    • Use a variety of sculpting tools and techniques to achieve textures, shapes, and designs.
    • Collaborate with designers and engineers to realize both structural and creative goals.
    • Participate in mold creation for concrete products.
  • Coloring & Finishing Duties:
    • Apply polyurethane, acrylic latex paint, and water-based concrete stains to GFRC structures and metal frames.
    • Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and priming.
    • Match finishes to design plans, blueprints, and customer specifications.
    • Use spraying, brushing, and rolling methods to apply coatings.
    • Inspect surfaces for coverage, consistency, and quality.
  • General Responsibilities:
    • Maintain clean and organized workspaces, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
    • Assist in setup and preparation of materials for sculpting and painting.
    • Adhere to all safety procedures and wear proper PPE.
    • Keep accurate records of work performed, time, and materials used.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in sculpture, fine arts, or painting preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in sculpting and/or painting concrete or similar materials.
  • Proficient in sculpting and painting techniques, tools, and safety practices.
  • Strong artistic skills and attention to detail.
