Job summary

Jacobsen Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a Concrete Estimator to help develop comprehensive estimates for concrete work on major projects in Salt Lake City. The role focuses on accurate pricing, scope definition, and collaboration with project teams.

You will solicit bids, analyze proposals, and produce detailed line items while maintaining strong relationships with owners, design professionals, and subcontractors. ESOP participation and ongoing coaching are part of the environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in civil engineering or construction management.
• Experience in concrete estimating or estimating for construction projects.
• Ability to read contract documents and develop written scope sheets.

Responsibilities

• Solicits pricing from vendors and prepares detailed estimates.
• Evaluates bids and selects preferred vendors for concrete work.
• Prepares quantity takeoffs and price inputs for pricing sheets.
• Develops scope sheets and schedules analysis for pursued projects.
• Maintains relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and contractors.
