Job summary

Boutique Recruiting is seeking a Concrete Detailer for preconstruction roles on complex structural concrete projects in California. You will develop and manipulate detailed 3D models, participate in BIM coordination, and help identify constructability issues before field work begins.

Position Title: Concrete Detailer
Salary Range: $90,000–$120,000 / Year, DOE
This is an opportunity for a Concrete Detailer to take a critical role in the preconstruction process for complex structural concrete projects. You’ll develop and manipulate 3D models, participate heavily in Building Information Modeling (BIM), identify constructability issues before work reaches the field, and coordinate with Project Engineers, Field Layout teams, Superintendents, and MEP partners to make sure every detail is resolved before construction begins. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on structural concrete experience, strong AutoCAD and BIM capabilities, and the ability to think several steps ahead. You’re collaborative, technically sharp and motivated by the opportunity to contribute to a growing team where you’ll have room to introduce new technologies, expand your expertise and make a visible impact.

Responsibilities

• Develop, build and manipulate detailed 3D models of structural concrete systems throughout the preconstruction process
• Participate in BIM coordination with MEP contractors and project stakeholders to identify and resolve conflicts before construction begins
• Review construction drawings and models to identify missing information, constructability concerns, and potential field issues
• Generate RFIs and communicate discrepancies to Project Engineers so solutions are developed before work reaches the field
• Collaborate closely with Project Engineers, Field Layout teams and Superintendents as projects transition from preconstruction into active construction
• Support accurate concrete detailing with a strong understanding of structural systems, formwork, shoring and construction sequencing
• Leverage modeling and construction technology to improve coordination, accuracy, and overall project execution

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience working specifically with structural concrete
• Strong AutoCAD skills and working knowledge of Revit and BIM processes
• Ability to interpret structural drawings and translate construction documents into accurate 3D models
• Solid software aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new construction and modeling technologies
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify problems before they become costly field issues
• Collaborative communication style and the ability to work effectively across project management and field teams
