Job summary

Ceco Concrete Construction in New Orleans is hiring an entry-level Laborer I to support concrete construction activities and help keep job sites safe and organized. You will assist skilled tradespeople, prepare sites, and handle materials on a busy construction crew.

The role emphasizes physical work, teamwork, and reliability on a full-time basis, with opportunities to grow as the project progresses in a challenging environment and weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Preference given to candidates with a minimum of 12 months of formwork / concrete construction labor experience.
• 30 Hour OSHA Card desired.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and up to 90 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Perform general construction labor to include jobsite clean-up and moving of materials by hand.
• Operate motorized equipment including power tools, saws, hammers, nails, and bolts.
• Work requires alert individuals with good balance and physical strength.
• Assist in pouring of vertical concrete.
• Install reshores per instructions.
• Work during inclement weather, could be exposed to extreme cold and heat, noise and dust from construction operations depending upon project site.
