Michels Corporation is seeking a Heavy Civil Estimator / Project Manager to ensure successful delivery of heavy civil construction projects from pre-construction through project completion. You will prepare accurate estimates, secure work, manage budgets and schedules, coordinate project execution, and build strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or equivalent from a 4-year college or university.
• 5+ years of related concrete, heavy civil construction estimating experience.
• Experience with earthwork, underground utilities, roadway, site development, concrete, or other infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of estimating and scheduling software (HCSS, B2W).
• Must possess a valid driver's license for the vehicle types used and have an acceptable driving record.
• Position requires travel for jobsite visits, pre-bid meetings, and pre-construction meetings.

We are seeking a Heavy Civil Estimator / Project Manager to support the successful delivery of heavy civil construction projects from pre-construction through project completion. This role is responsible for preparing accurate estimates, securing work, managing budgets and schedules, coordinating project execution, and building strong client relationships. It is essential to be forward thinking, performance driven and quality focused. Critical for success are the abilities to work independently and produce highly accurate work in a timely manner.

What it takes:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, or equivalent degree from a 4-year college or university
• 5+ years of related concrete, heavy civil construction estimating experience, or equivalent combination
• Experience with earthwork, underground utilities, roadway, site development, concrete, or other infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Working knowledge of estimating and scheduling software (HCSS, B2W)
• Must posses a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record
• Position requires travel for jobsite visits, pre-bid meetings, and pre-construction meeting

This information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on individual's skills, experiences, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Expected Salary Range: $115,000 USD - $173,000 USD
