Job description

Position Summary

Plan, lay-out, and install forms, rebar, embeds, and anchor bolts for the installation of concrete structures in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties
  1. Read and interpret prints, drawings, plans, and specifications; visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
  2. Construct, erect, install, and repair structures, scaffolding, and framework using hand and power tools.
  3. Measure, cut, assemble, and install forms, rebar, embeds, and anchor bolts; construct and erect built-in-place or prefabricated wooden forms according to specifications for molding concrete structures.
  4. Erect built-in-place forms or assemble and install prefabricated forms; insert spreaders and tie-rods to maintain specific dimensions; brace forms using nails, bolts, anchor rods, steel cables, planks, and timber.
  5. Pour concrete into finished forms, finish surfaces to specifications, and install all other items as per plans and specifications.
  6. Estimate sizes, distances, quantities, and determine time, costs, resources, or materials needed for work activities.
  7. Inspect subordinate’s work for compliance with contract plans and specifications, identify deficiencies, and take corrective actions.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience in the field or related area preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge and skills relevant to the position.
  • Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions; effective communication with management and supervision.
  • Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand, power, and layout tools, as well as measurement tools.
Requirements
  • Meet all physical requirements.
  • Possess all required tools.
  • Ability to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft).
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Work overtime, nights, and weekends as required.
  • Follow safety and project rules; perform other duties as assigned.
