Job description

Position Summary

Plan, lay-out, and install forms, rebar, embeds, and anchor bolts for the installation of concrete structures in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties
  • Read and interpret prints, drawings, plans, and specifications; visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
  • Construct, erect, install, and repair structures, scaffolding, and framework using hand and power tools.
  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install forms, rebar, embeds, and anchor bolts; construct and erect built-in-place or prefabricated wooden forms, according to specifications for molding concrete structures.
  • Erect built-in-place forms or assemble and install prefabricated forms; insert spreaders and tie-rods to maintain specific dimensions; brace forms using nails, bolts, anchor rods, steel cables, and timber.
  • Pour concrete into finished forms, finish surfaces to specifications, and install all other items per plans and specifications.
  • Estimate sizes, distances, quantities, and determine time, costs, resources, or materials needed for work activities.
  • Inspect subordinate’s work for compliance, identify deficiencies, and take corrective actions.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge and skills for the role.
  • Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions; effective communication with management.
  • Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand, power, and measurement tools.
Requirements
  • Ability to move about construction sites, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach.
  • Work in outdoor environments with changing weather conditions.
  • Work irregular hours, including weekends, overtime, and holidays.
  • Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, and mechanical platforms, and maintain balance.
  • Work in confined, cluttered, or uneven spaces.
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Possession of required tools and valid driver’s license if needed.
  • Compliance with safety, project rules, and pass drug testing.
