Ferguson Construction Company is seeking skilled Concrete Carpenters in Columbus, OH to join a team focused on foundations, piers, walls, stairs, pits, trenches, slabs, and formwork.

You will read blueprints to determine dimensions, organize tasks, perform flatwork prep and placement, and operate pumps, cranes, and other equipment while following safety rules to maintain a safe jobsite.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints, sketches, or plans to prepare layout and determine dimensions and materials.
• Organize, sequence, and perform assigned tasks within schedule.
• Perform concrete flatwork preparation, forming, and placement.
• Place concrete with trucks, cranes, buckets, and/or pumps.
• Saw cut control joints.
• Make repairs to cured concrete surfaces (walls and slabs).
• Apply curing compounds and sealers.
• Operate necessary tools.
• Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Read specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions, shape, design, and materials required.
• Organize, sequence, and perform assigned tasks within schedule.
• Perform concrete flatwork preparation, forming, and placement.
• Placement of concrete, slab on grade, and elevated decks with trucks, cranes, buckets, and/or pumps.
• Saw cut control joints.
• Make repairs to cured concrete surfaces (walls and slabs).
• Apply curing compounds and sealers.
• Operate necessary tools.
• Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
