Job summary

Iconica, a Madison-based architecture-construction-engineering firm, is seeking a Concrete Carpenter to join our collaborative team. You’ll work alongside carpenters on a variety of commercial projects, performing rough and finish carpentry while prepping, placing, pouring, and finishing concrete.

You’ll build and assemble forms, lay out and set elevations, install reinforcing steel, and help ensure safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• Experience placing and finishing interior and exterior concrete slabs.
• Ability to read plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Commitment to jobsite safety and teamwork.
• Experience with forming systems and concrete footings.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble wood or metal forms for concrete floors, slabs, walls, and stairs.
• Set and place forms to elevations and locations.
• Erect wall forms and install reinforcing steel.
• Perform finish grading and install vapor barriers.
• Coordinate with project managers and subcontractors to stay on schedule.
