Job summary

Skillit is seeking experienced concrete carpenters based in or near Fort Pierce, FL to work on formwork and concrete structure projects within a 50-mile radius. This hands-on role involves building, bracing and stripping forms for slabs, footings and columns across commercial and heavy civil jobs.

Typical duties include reading plans, measuring and cutting materials, setting forms, assisting with concrete placement, and cleaning up at day’s end. Day shifts and possible overtime are expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in concrete formwork carpentry and related concrete work.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and perform layout on site.
• Experience measuring, cutting and assembling form components.

Responsibilities

• Read construction drawings and follow layout instructions on-site.
• Measure, cut and install lumber, plywood and metal form components for slabs, footings and columns.
• Assemble, brace and align formwork; set edge forms and rails.
• Assist with concrete placement and finishing; ensure forms hold line and grade.
• Strip forms, clean and repair materials for reuse; maintain tools and housekeeping.
• Communicate daily with foremen about sequence, hazards and needs.

About this roleWe're looking for experienced concrete carpenters based in or near Fort Pierce, FL to work on formwork and concrete structure projects within a 50-mile radius. You'll be on-site building, bracing and stripping forms for slabs, footings and columns across commercial and heavy civil jobs.
