Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a High School Medical Assistant Career Technical Program or Graduation from an accredited School of Medical Assisting.
• Certification as a Paramedic (EMT-P) or Military Medic training.
• At least one year of experience as a physician-trained Medical Assistant in a similar clinical setting.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates efficient patient flow and prepares the patient for the visit.
• Completes Care Connect EMR documentation accurately.
• Performs administrative duties to keep information current and updated.
• Maintains a clean, safe clinical environment and reports equipment issues.
• Communicates with patients in a respectful, caring manner.
• Supports providers and coordinates referrals and care.
