Job summary

Sollis Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care under physician supervision while handling key clerical tasks. The role combines clinical procedures with front desk responsibilities to ensure smooth operations and compassionate care.

The position is full-time with shifts 10:00 AM–6:00 PM and weekend coverage, offering a rate range of $20–$30 per hour for Southern California. Training provided for clinical duties and patient interaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a National Medical Assistant training program required.
• EMTs highly considered.
• Certified Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Technician certification strongly preferred.
• BLS or CPR certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record vitals, height and weight in Athena Health EMR.
• Take medical histories and perform screening as directed.
• Assist with wound care, phlebotomy, EKGs and splinting (training).
• Perform front desk duties: phones, check-in/out, documentation.
• Prepare, process and run lab tests with proper labeling per Sollis protocols.
• Communicate observations and concerns to the healthcare team.
• Support emergency care as a team member under supervision.
• Provide welcoming environment and exceptional customer service.
• Assist patient mobility and transfers with proper body mechanics.
• Maintain cleanliness, order, and health/safety compliance.
