Job summary

Commonwealth of VA Careers is seeking experienced primary care physicians for the School of Medicine MBU within the VCU Health system. The Center for Team Care aims to provide high value, concierge-like primary care to employees and dependents.

Ideal candidates have board certification in Internal Medicine and/or Pediatrics, 3–5 years of post-residency experience, Virginia licensure, and a commitment to patient-centered care in a busy practice.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Internal Medicine and/or Pediatrics.
• 3–5 years of post-residency experience in a busy primary care clinic.
• Eligible for Virginia Medical Licensure.
• Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a diverse population.

Responsibilities

• Clinical: Serve as a primary care physician to a complex panel of patients, delivering high quality acute and episodic care, chronic disease management, and wellness care.
• Part of an interdisciplinary team to manage preventive needs and ensure compliance with billing, documentation, credentialing, and other administrative requirements.
