Walk-In-Wednesday Event

Wednesdays just got more exciting! Join us for Walk-In-Wednesday to explore new and in-demand careers with representatives from each department, all in one location.

When: Every Wednesday, 10am - 12pm

Location: 9201 Portner Ave, Manassas, VA

Concierge Role

The Concierge serves as the front-of-house for external stakeholders and guests, providing a courteous, professional first point of contact. The role supports the Community Leadership Team in administrative activities to ensure smooth community operations.

This is a part-time position with shifts from 8am-2:30pm or 2:30pm-8pm. Must be available to work rotating weekends.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Experience working with the public
  • Basic computer skills preferred
  • Comfortable with multi-line telephones, answering, taking messages, and transferring calls
  • Good physical and mental health; PPD screening required
  • Interest in working with people, especially the geriatric population
  • Ability to work independently following instructions
  • Tact and courtesy in dealing with staff, residents, families, and visitors
  • Effective communication skills at all levels
  • Willingness to perform non-professional duties
  • Calmness in emergencies; responsible attitude
  • Cooperative and enthusiastic spirit
  • Attendance at mandatory meetings and training
  • Maintain confidentiality
Primary Responsibilities
  • Greeting and signing in guests and visitors
  • Assisting visitors in locating resident rooms
  • Answering phones, taking messages, and forwarding information
  • Announcing appointments and arrivals to staff
  • Typing memos, reports, and correspondence
  • Sorting and distributing mail
  • Creating a warm, personal, and positive atmosphere
  • Protecting resident confidentiality and rights
  • Providing community information and tours to prospective residents and families
  • Managing admission and information packets
  • Keeping the front desk and lobby organized
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management
