Cedarhurst of Tesson Heights, a regional healthcare provider and true friend of older adults, seeks a service-minded, career-oriented individual to join our team as a Concierge at our Cedarhurst of Tesson Heights community.
This position requires availability for overnight shifts every Friday and Saturday from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
As a Concierge, you will have the opportunity to connect with, and positively impact the lives of, our residents daily! You will be responsible for delivering personalized assistance and outstanding customer service to residents, staff, and visitors, while also supporting the Business Office with clerical tasks as needed.
As a Concierge, you will impact the lives of our residents by:
- Welcoming residents, visitors, and guests, providing exceptional customer service and assistance to those entering the community.
- Monitoring the community’s entry and exit points, signing in guests and residents, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Engaging regularly with residents to help them feel valued and cared for.
- Receiving and distributing mail and packages.
- Managing external and internal calls, taking and communicating messages, and forwarding calls appropriately.
- Assisting the Executive Director & Business Office Manager with clerical/administrative duties, and supporting the Sales & Marketing team with inquiries as needed.
- Assisting residents with scheduling personal transportation and making reservations for community events in conjunction with the Life Enrichment Director.
- Managing the sale of guest meals and processing credit card transactions when necessary.
- Submitting work order requests to Maintenance on behalf of residents.
- Monitoring emergency response systems and fire alarm panels.
- Ensuring effective communication with residents’ families regarding their care, including physical, personal, and emotional wellbeing.
- Working collaboratively, taking direction, and engaging in conflict resolution as needed.
- Remaining flexible to work weekends when necessary.
- The physical demands include standing/moving, communicating, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 50 pounds independently, and up to 200 pounds with assistance.
- Performing other duties as assigned by management.
To become a Concierge, you will need:
- A high school diploma or GED (preferred but not required).
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or similar.
- CPR or BLS certification (preferred).
- Proficiency with internet browsers, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Publisher), electronic health records, and HR systems if applicable.
