Job summary

Oak View Group in Grand Forks, ND is hiring a Concessions Worker to prepare and serve concession items, manage beverages, and assist guests with orders and payments. You will maintain cleanliness and comply with alcohol laws; part-time hours include nights, weekends, and holidays.

The role requires a friendly attitude, cash handling experience, and the ability to stand for long periods. Previous food service experience is preferred; a high school diploma is typical.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3+ months’ experience in food service preferred.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred or willingness to learn to operate a cash register.

Responsibilities

• Conduct the cash register sales by taking orders, building orders, and completing the transaction.
• Build orders, prepare food, and have knowledge of all areas in the concessions operations.
• Responsible for maintaining stock and supply levels and communicating low-stock items to the Concessions Stand Manager.
• Listening and responding to customer requests or concerns.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including disposal of garbage and cleaning dishes.
• Serve beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages, responsibly.
• Check guest’s ID to verify minimum age for alcohol purchases and ensure safety standards.

Position Summary

The Concessions Worker prepares and serves concession items to guests. Prepares and pours beverages and serves them to guests. Ensures quality of food presentation. Utilizes a cash register and accepts payment. Must be able to maintain excellent attendance in accordance with the attendance policy.

This role pays an hourly rate of $11.00 - $14.00 and is tip eligible.

Qualifications

• Previous cash handling experience preferred or willingness to learn to operate a cash register and the corresponding system.
• Excellent interpersonal skills & a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers & guests.
• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
