Job summary

Cedar Point Sports Center is seeking a friendly Food & Beverage Team Member to join our operations in Sandusky, OH. This part-time, non-exempt position focuses on delivering quality service in our food and beverage areas, handling cash, and supporting daily dining operations.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, operating the cash register, preparing and serving food, ensuring proper food temperatures, and keeping dining and kitchen areas clean. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to work weekends.
• Prior experience operating a cash register and balancing a cash drawer.
• Ability to communicate in a positive, friendly manner with patrons.
• One year of customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with outstanding customer service.
• Operate an electronic cash register and credit card machine.
• Perform basic mathematical computations.
• Balance drawer and manage daily income.
• Communicate with the public in a tactful, polite, and friendly manner.
• Clean dining and concession areas and tables; assist in preparing and serving food items.
• Scrape and rinse dishes, load dishwasher and operate dishwashing machine; wash dishes, carts, pots, pans, and equipment.
• Take and record temperature of food to ensure proper temperature controls in the transportation of food.
• Assist in unloading, lifting, and carrying food and supplies from trucks and storage areas, and place them in designated areas.
• Assist chef with food preparation.
• Serves food in proper pre-determined portion sizes and at the correct temperature.
• Maintains appearance of all equipment and serving counters.
• Cleans kitchen area before and after business hours.
• Scrub, sanitizes, and stores pots and pans, utensils, and dishes.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

Position Summary

Minimum Qualifications
