• Prioritize and organize work assignments and delegate when needed
• Direct performance of staff and give corrective feedback
• Motivate staff and build a cohesive team
• Maintain awareness of event schedules, room layouts, and guest flow
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper handling of equipment
• Handle guest issues professionally to ensure a positive experience
• Manage scheduling, labor costs, and cash reconciliation

Job Description Duties may include, but not limited to:

• Follow all Greenleaf Hospitality Group policies and procedures
• Prioritize and organize work assignments and be able to delegate
• Direct performance of assigned staff and follow up with corrections where needed
• Motivate staff
• Ascertain staff to form cohesive team
• Ability to clearly think, analyze and resolve problems, while exercising good judgment
• Accuracy to details
• Endure abundant physical movements in carrying out job duties
• Exert physical effort in transporting and placement of tables, chairs, rolling bars and general catering equipment
• Ensure security of storage and access to WEC property
• Work without direct supervision
• Knowledge of daily scheduled group functions, times, locations and amount of people
• Knowledge of location of all WEC function space and names of rooms
• Knowledge of all catering set-ups and standard room settings
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements and proper chemical handling
• Knowledge of POS machines with the ability to train staff quickly and effectively
• Communicate effectively with guests, management and coworkers to their understanding
• Speak, read, and write English precisely and clearly
• Strong presence on event days
• Resolve any guest issues that may occur, leaving the guest with a positive experience
• Ensure that all associates are being productive and providing personalized guest experience
• Create brand loyalty through the guest service experience and product value
• Responsible for a smooth, positive flow of the business with regards to both internal and external guests
• Build an engaged culture through recognition of individual talents and contributions
• Train and job coach front staff
• Continuous improvement of employee engagement to ensure retention
• Hold associates accountable to standards, communicate to manager if situations arise that may require counseling and participate in counseling
• Confidence and willing to take charge of any situation, including opening and closing, scheduling, and answering questions
• Communicate to staff the vision and goals of Wings Event Center and Greenleaf Hospitality Group
• Hold effective team huddle. Go over any special instructions and/or changes needed for the shift
• Staff schedule and labor expense control
• Money reconciliation and cash handling
• Connect with teammates personally to build positive and trusting relationships
• Communicate effectively and in a timely manner
• Be available to all associates to answer questions, guide, and support them
