Job summary

Proof of the Pudding, the exclusive food and beverage partner to Duke University Athletics, seeks Concessions Supervisors to oversee daily operations of a concessions stand during game days. You will lead staff, ensure food safety, manage inventory, monitor temps, and deliver courteous guest service under fast-paced conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee staff in the stand and area, ensure proper uniforms and safety.
  • Determine appropriate quantity of food and beverages for events and monitor quality.
  • Monitor temperatures and sanitation; clean equipment and store supplies properly.
  • Assist with inventory and record-keeping of consumed vs leftovers.
  • Provide excellent guest service and uphold company standards.

Proof of the Pudding is the exclusive food & beverage partner to DUKE University Athletics. We provide elevated hospitality offerings, catered events, concessions to all athletic events and operate the Student Athlete’s Training Table.We are looking for multiple Concessions Supervisors to oversee the daily operations of a concessions stand. They are the point person for staff, logistics, food and guest safety, customer service, and food and beverage services.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESAssist, in a timely manner, in determining appropriate quantity of food and beverage items for cooking, baking and serving in the stand; maintain food & beverage quality standards including appearance and nutritional requirements throughout the event; assist in the monitoring and ordering of food as needed based on business demandsMonitor temperatures of food to assure safety and quality of standards are met; monitor water temperatures to assure proper temperature for sanitizingMerchandise and serve food and beverage according to established guidelines and replenish as neededOversee all staff in the stand and area including but not limited to cashiers, food runners, cooks, and cleaners; ensure staff is in the correct uniform; signed in & out; practicing safe service; and upholding Trident Provisions’ standards of serviceClean equipment, utensils and appliances and properly store food and beverage supplies; assure compliance with sanitation and safety procedures and regulations; clean refrigerators and storerooms as requiredAssist in storing unused food and supplies; dispose of unusable leftovers; utilize proper methods of handling foods to be storedAssist with inventory and maintain routine records as directed; prepare records of food and beverage consumed vs. leftover.Experience & Education1+ year of experience in leading a concessions operation is preferredAfter completion of training you will have gained the ability to work independently and effectively manage a standSpecialized QualificationsCommunicate effectively both orally and in writingServSafe qualified or the ability to become ServSafe certifiedCORE VALUE AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTSBusiness Acumen - Demonstrate comprehension of the job, including policies, practices, and relationships.
