Levy Sector at Barclays Center is seeking a Concessions Lead Cook to prepare nutritious and well-flavored food in accordance with federal, state, local and company standards, guidelines and regulations.

The role involves supervising cooking activities, liaising with team members and management, operating and cleaning equipment, labeling and dating items, enforcing HACCP and DOH guidelines, coordinating equipment repairs, and supporting cross-training and night inventory.

• Oversees cooking activities of food service staff as assigned by Food Service Director.
• Liaises between team members, supervisors and management.
• Operates and cleans equipment after use; performs routine cleaning.
• Stores, labels and dates food items according to policy; maintains organized storage.
• Enforces HACCP and DOH guidelines to ensure food safety.
• Communicates with management regarding equipment needs and repairs.
• Complies with health and sanitation regulations and department procedures.
• Assists with end of night concession stand inventory.
• Supports cross-training of new employees.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food to ensure it is nutritious and properly flavored in accordance with applicable federal, state, local and company standards, guidelines and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• May oversee the cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by Food Service Director.
• Liaison between team members, supervisors and management.
• Operates and cleans equipment after each use. Performs scheduled routine cleaning.
• Stores, labels and dates food items according to policy. Helps maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products.
• Enforces HACCP and DOH guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Communicate with management regarding equipment needs and repairs.
• Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• End of night concession stand inventory.
• Assists in the cross training of new employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
