Levy Restaurants at Loew's Jersey Theatre is seeking a Concessions Cook to prepare and serve food for concession stands at events. The role emphasizes accurate portioning, recipe adherence, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced venue environment.

Pay is set at a fixed rate within the concessions team, with opportunities to support opening/closing duties and assist with other concession staff as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, portion sizes, and established standards.
• Set up the cooking area and prepare ingredients before service.
• Monitor food temperatures to ensure food is cooked and held safely.
• Maintain food quality by checking appearance, taste, freshness, and proper portions.
• Follow food-safety and sanitation procedures when handling, preparing, and storing food.
• Keep cooking equipment and work areas clean throughout the shift.
• Restock ingredients and supplies as needed during service.
• Work efficiently during busy periods to keep up with customer demand.
• Minimize food waste by using ingredients properly and following portion controls.
• Store and label leftover ingredients and prepared foods according to company procedures.
• Assist other concession employees with food service, setup, and cleanup when needed.
• Follow instructions from the Cook Supervisor or Concessions Manager.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning equipment and preparing the kitchen for the next shift.
